Menstrual Awareness Program
Menstruation and menstrual practices are still clouded by taboos and socio-cultural restrictions resulting in adolescent girls remaining ignorant of the scientific facts and hygienic health practices, which sometimes result in adverse health outcomes.
We, at The Cogent Community desire to normalize period talk through our Menstrual Awareness Project. This initiative is an integrated effort of advocacy through workshops and accessibility to safe and hygienic sanitary products through donation drives.

Project Interactions
It’s impractical for us as volunteers to just go to a government school and expect students to pay heed to what we’re saying and cooperate with us. To ease into the process of learning and communication, we started Project Interactions. It is a one day interactive session filled with fun games, activities, and brainstorming sessions. The main objective of this project is that our target audience will feel more comfortable when we move on to complex awareness projects.
We do an interactive session with each school/orphanage before we start a project.
